First Friday - DIY & Share: Social Authoring of OERs

A conversation via twitter about collaborative authoring OERs.  Our guests: Emily Morrison (@mlemorrison), Learning Programs Manager, CalShakes and Emily Puckett Rodgers (@epuckett), Open Education Coordinator, U Michigan's Open.Michigan (@open_michigan). With Ruth Rominger (@RURomin), Director of Learning Design at MITE, and host Claudia L'Amoreaux (@ClaudiaInWorld).

As Programs Manager of Artistic Learning for California Shakespeare Theater, Emily Morrison works with Bay Area classroom teachers and talented Teaching Artists to share and develop kinesthetic learning strategies. Using theater as a tool for learning core curriculum, she leads professional development trainings, runs Cal Shakes Summer Conservatories, oversees the Residency program (grades 4-12), and encourages her staff and educators alike to find new ways of sharing. Emily is a 2009-2011 ISKME fellow.

As Open Education Coordinator, Emily Puckett Rodgers works with the University of Michigan community and broader learning community to foster practices of sharing. She engages in training about how to create and use OER and consults with others (on campus and at other institutions) about making projects more open, transparent and collaborative.

This transcipt references a number of good resources on authoring OERs.
